There have been recent changes within the NDIS and how the NDIA approach Home Modifications requests. Are you familiar with these?
To break it down in simple terms, the changes to home modifications looks like this; anything classified as a 'Complex Home Modification' will need a Home Modification Assessor (....that is someone with post graduate qualifications in addition to an OT degree) to complete the process.
Complex modifications include:
Ramps > $10,000
Bathroom mods
Kitchen mods
Structural mods
Extensive electrical or plumbing
Lifts/elevators > $10,000
Work needing a building consultant
Non structural mods > $20,000
